Question by missmuffin555: CHILD BEAUTY PAGEANTS- why do so many people hate them?
I just dont understand what so many people have against child beauty pageants. Most little girls love dressing up, and wearing makeup. As long as the kid enjoys them, i dont see the problem, and most of the time the kids do like doing them, if they didnt like them they would never win, and have to quit any ways.

I’m not a big fan of beauty pagents in general. But if you are going for pure beauty, I feel that most women look a lot better in understated makeup, smoother hair, and less gaudy clothing. Who in the heck thinks red glitter, 2 foot high hair, and oompa loompa tans emphasize beauty?

All the dresses i see are either in juniors or adults and im in kids sizes and im very petite. im in a size 4 shoes in kids and i really need to find a place with some heels in kids sizes all the other ones styles aren’t cute at all there all to childish. i need a place to find some cute maybe like elegant yet cute dresses thats a store not ordered online where i can buy a dress for the beauty pageant i got into.

My brother is very cute and fun! I’ve wanted to enter him in a pageant since I started watching Toddlers & Tiaras. The categories are, Dress, Theme Wear, Talent, “Living Doll”, and Most Photogenic. What are these, and what outfits could I do for him on a low budget pageant boy who is 17 months old? Oh, also its Semi Glitz Winter Ball Pageant for boys and girls.

Shows like Toddlers and Tiaras disgust me. I don’t see how mothers could possibly dress their daughters up like prepubescent prostitutes and let them jump around half naked for the world to see. It’s a tv show for pedophiles, I guarantee you. I just don’t see how a mother could let their young children possibly to disgusting things like that.
I consider it a form of prostitution. They get paid money to look like hot, sexy 6 year-old girls. It’s down right disgusting.

It all comes down to money. The mothers don’t care about how their daughters are seen or how things like that will effect them in the long run, the promise of a monetary reward pulls them in easily.
